Discover What You Should Be Known For as a Speaker
Growing a speaking business involves more than delivering a great talk. You need to clarify your message, develop content, find opportunities, and communicate your value.
AI Workflows for Booked Speakers is a Success Through Speaking series showing you practical ways to use AI throughout that process. Each episode walks through a workflow from my book, The Speaker’s Ultimate AI Handbook, including the context to provide, the role to assign AI, and the output to request.
The goal is to use AI to organize your thinking and move your work forward while keeping your experience, judgment, and voice at the center.
We’re starting with a foundational question: What should you be known for as a speaker?
Start With Your Background
If you have several areas of expertise or are beginning your speaking journey, choosing a clear direction can feel difficult.
This workflow begins by giving AI context about your profession, expertise, experience, credentials, and personal story.
You then assign it the role of an expert speaker strategist and personal branding coach, helping you explore what you could become known for based on your background, credibility, and interests.
Let AI Interview You
The key instruction is to ask thoughtful follow-up questions one at a time before making recommendations.
This gives you space to reflect and add details. Rather than jumping straight to a tagline, the workflow helps you explore one clear message that could become your signature speaking brand.
After the interview, you ask AI to recommend:
Three “Known For” positioning statements.
The strengths of each option.
Which option has the greatest long-term potential.
A one-sentence explanation of why.
Use these recommendations as starting points. Consider which direction reflects your experience and the message you want to develop.
Choose a Message People Can Remember
You don’t have to speak about everything you know. A clear message gives people something specific to associate with you.
Before building your next keynote, ask: What do I want people to remember me for?
